Is Odoo Cloud hosted in the UAE?

Not yet: projects run in our Asia region today. A UAE region is opening soon; write to us through the contact page if you need your data in the UAE and we'll tell you when it's available.

Where is my data hosted?

Your databases, files and backups are stored on the servers Odoo Cloud operates, with each project isolated from the others. When offsite backups are configured, encrypted copies are also kept with a storage provider in a second location. Projects run in our Asia region; a UAE region is opening soon for customers who need their data in the UAE.

Does Odoo Cloud make my Odoo VAT compliant?

VAT invoicing is handled by Odoo itself, through its United Arab Emirates fiscal localization, set up and checked by your accountant or Odoo partner. Odoo Cloud hosts your Odoo and keeps it backed up; it doesn't change how Odoo calculates or reports tax.

How is my data backed up?

Production is backed up every day, and 7 daily, 4 weekly and 3 monthly backups are kept: about three months of history. The newest backup is restored as a test every week, and when offsite storage is configured, every backup is encrypted and copied to a second location. You can download any backup as a standard Odoo backup.

Is the Odoo Enterprise licence included?

No. Odoo Community is free and needs no licence; for Enterprise, you subscribe with Odoo S.A. and enter your subscription code inside Odoo once production is live. The Enterprise apps themselves are provided by Odoo Cloud, and you never share your subscription code with us.
