Push notifications and the app

Install the dashboard as an app and get support replies, failed builds and server alerts on your phone or computer, even with it closed.

Everything in the bell can also reach your devices as a push notification, like any app's: a support message or reply, a failed build, a server that stops answering. It works with the dashboard closed, and on a phone with the screen locked.

Turn it on for a device

Open your profile In Profile → Notifications , switch on Push notifications on this device .

Allow notifications Your browser asks once: choose Allow . Nothing is asked before you click.

Send a test Use Send a test : a notification should appear within seconds. Repeat on each phone or computer you use.

iPhone and iPad Apple only allows push for apps on the Home Screen (iOS 16.4 or later). In Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen , open Cloud Buddy from the Home Screen, sign in and turn push notifications on there.

What is pushed

Choose the events under Pushed to your devices ; the choice applies to all your devices. By default, the ones that need you are on:

On by default Support messages (new requests, replies both ways, help chat handovers), failed builds, a server or Odoo down, failed backups, a failed Odoo install, failed payments.

Off by default Production deployed, a server back up, an Odoo install finished, and for platform admins: new sales and coupons redeemed.

You get pushes for what you would see in your bell: a project's builds if you're a member, your own servers, your support requests.

A notification shows its title and a short line; opening it opens the right page. Messages, error details and email addresses are never in it: read them in the dashboard.

Repeated notifications about the same thing (a branch's builds, a conversation, a server) replace each other instead of piling up. At most 10 a minute are sent to you; the bell keeps them all.

Install the app

Where the browser offers it (Chrome, Edge, Android), Profile → Notifications shows Install app : the dashboard then opens in its own window with its own icon. Browsers also offer it from their menu ( Install , Add to Home Screen ). The app always shows live data: nothing you see is stored on the device, and without a connection it only shows an offline page.

Your devices

Each device is listed with its browser, when it was added and its last notification. Remove one you no longer use (or lost) there.

Signing out of a device turns its push notifications off, so the next person signing in on it doesn't get yours.

A device that can't be reached is retried later; one the browser unsubscribed is removed on its own.

Nothing arrives

Check that notifications are allowed for this site in the browser (and for the browser in your system settings, Focus or Do Not Disturb included), then Send a test . If the browser blocked them, allow them in its site settings and reload the page.
